The Mexican gray squirrel (or red-bellied squirrel) (''Sciurus aureogaster'') is a tree squirrel in the genus ''Sciurus'' endemic to Guatemala and in eastern and southern Mexico, and is an introduced species in the Florida Keys, Cuba, Jamaica and Hispaniola.〔 Long, J.
